Valet parking question.

We will probably valet park at during our stay at the AKL, partly because I hate hassles, partly because the car is new and I am still doing my best to avoid door dings. If we park valet, is it $7 per day regardless of whether we take out our vehicle? Also, since the AKL is so far out, I am assuming we might drive to dinner at other resorts. So say we drive to dinner at the Yacht Club. Do I have to pay again to use their valet or do I have valet privelages at all the hotels?

It is $7 per day regardless if use your car or not. You do not have to pay again if you valet park at other resorts. It is a one day fee and covers all valet parking at Disney resorts. It would not cover the Swan/Dolphin.

You will be given a tag to hang from your mirror, letting the resort know you have paid for the day.

$7 per day covers valet parking at all the resorts (except Swan/Dolphin) but remember it is customary to tip the driver when receiving your car and when dropping your car off.

even when counting tips, that just seems like such a bargain! i think dh and i will try valet on our upcoming trip.
