Valentines day. What are you doing?

Our anniversary is on the 19th and of course V-day on the 14th

I want to do something special this year for DH. I was thinking what I would really like is to get Celtic wedding rings ( something we have both always wanted) and maybe an overnight locally. What do you think?

Let's see...I'm taking DS11 to physical therapy @ 1pm, then I'll come home, slip into something comfortable and go to work at 5. We've been married almost 26yrs. We don't get into Valentines Day so much. However, we are picking up our new camper tomorrow As they say, "if the trailer's rockin', don't come knockin'"

We're just getting a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's and putting $100 in our Disney fund. I'll just end up getting DH something stupid he won't care about, and he'll get me flowers or something that will die. I don't want candy that neither of us need, and we have DD so we can't do a fancy dinner on Wednesday.

We figure putting money in our travel fund is the best route to go.

We're leaving at dinner time that night to drive 900 miles to spend 5 days with my MIL. Happy Freakin' Valentine's Day to me. All I can say is that our anniversary next month better be good.

I am getting my hair cut after work and then go home and fix dinner like every other day.

Dh and I are going out to a nice dinner the following weekend.

Dunno... my DH will get a card, but probably nothing else. We might go out to dinner that night. VDay is never a big deal for either of us (I admit, I see it more of a "Hallmark Holiday" and we don't really celebreate those)

I don't think we are doing anything major. We will do something nicer the weekend like a night out in Nashville.

I am taking him to Carrabba's without our 5 kids.

I also got him an engraved pocket watch with "Grow Old with Me" and our secret code word of affection. We've been together 20 years this November.

PS We are sweet on each other throughout the year. I just wanted to do something different as we never usually go out to dinner alone and I never got him something engraved - ever. lol

Right now its cold and wet here - can't wait to get someplace warm and sunny. Kids are staying with DGM & DGP!

Nothing. DH is going for a cat scan after work (checking for kidney stones) and I will cook a regular dinner. He won't even remember it is Valentine's Day and won't care anyway.

I KNEW we had a connection. My folks anniversary is also on the 19th. 41 years for them this year.

For Valentine's Day this year, we'll actually be flying to FL to see them. It's school vacation week here, and this is our annual trek to the warm weather.

We are going to WDW 2/26 for a week so I told my DH to not spend anything on me for Valentines Day and to save it for DISNEY. I will get the kids Valentines presents though.

We don't celebrate Valentine's Day never have. Well maybe we did the firt couple of years we were dating. Valentine's day isn't a big deal to us and we treat it as any other day for the most part. We will however get a small gift for our daughters and maybe order a pizza (maybe use it as an excuse not to cook) .

13 years for us

I am going to go to Jared tomorrow ( the jewlery store) and see if I cant find a nice simple set for us. We both used to wear a ring on our right hands. His was one I gave him when we were dating. It was a ring that I had made so it was special. The problem was low grade silver and has now been bent after so many years.

Mine was a gift for our 5th anniversary. It was one of those $79 specials at fred Meyer and it didnt hold up well the band has a crack in it and it hurts.


I just would like to find a matching set and we both like the celtic/irish style.

In the middle of the week this time of the year? Yeah, we'll be doing all kinds of romantic stuff. No, I think it'll be just like any other Wednesday in Feb.

I have to go the research lab in the morning, and have to leave there at 10:30 to catch the bus back to main campus, where I have four classes which end at 4:30 pm. Then I will eat something (here is where I will try and meet up ith my firend/valentine) and go to the tech center to print out lecture notes for the week. Then at 6 I have to be at work until midnight. Then I home and sleep, I hate Wednesdays. Good thing my "valentine" is also pretty busy.
