Vacuum storage bags that work?

DH and I are in the midst of a huge spring cleaning, so I thought I'd get a couple of space bags. We have extremely limited closet space and 2 or 3 space bags would really ease things up.

However, I've read a ton of reviews on these things and apparently they're pretty poorly made, have weak seams and second-rate zippers, and if they don't fall apart immediately, they fall apart after just 1 or 2 re-inflatings.

So...my question is: Does anyone know of a brand of vacuum-sealed storage bags that actually works? That's made of a better material and/or is better constructed than space bags are?

I know that some people have had good experiences with their space bags and warn about overstuffing, mishandling, etc., however, then I read like hundreds of reviews from people who were extremely careful and the bags just ripped apart immediately.

We really need something that's going to withstand being deflated and re-inflated on a regular basis, since some of the stuff we store is in regular use.

If anyone can recommend a quality brand of this sort of thing, please let me know. My one and only closet thanks you!

I, too, have limited closet space and would like to get a recommendation too. popcorn::
I woke up this morning thinking about the same thing. :surfweb:
After church today, I would like to buy a few of these bags and use them to store our large comforters in for the summer.

What brand of bags has people had the most success with?

I have some from Bed,Bath and Beyond I have been using for 2 to 3 trips per year with no problems for the past 4 or 5 years

I think the biggest problem it people don't use them correctly and over fill them .they have a fill line a few inches down from the zipper and if it has material it puts all the force on the zipper and they are just not made to handle that. Those 2 inches provide the seal that help hold everything in place.

I have been happy with my Space Bags ones, but I think they would be pretty inconvenient to open and close regularly. I have extra comforters, sheets, curtains and Army clothes stored in mine, then I slide them under the beds. I opened and closed them a few times in the course of moving and reorganizing and they held up fine.
