I hope someone can clear up my confusion!
Do you have to be part of a timeshare to book WBC through Vacation Strategies?
The quote I received from them is amazingly low and I am wondering if there is a string attached!

I have read pages and pages of glowing reviews for Vacation Strategy. If there really aren't any strings attached to the amazing rate, then I'll feel a lot better booking with them. I am sorry that the previous poster is having trouble but there are many more positive reviews than negative ones.
I am relieved that there isn't a timeshare attached to the great rate. Thanks for the info. I love the DISboards!

This is our 3rd time using Vacation Strategy. We have had zero issues with them. Ive never (until now) heard one bad thing about them. This leaves me to believe there is more to their claim and story than has been divulged. Vacation Strategy has always had top notch customer service and very professional. I will continue to recommend them and use them. You cant beat their rates and if you do they will match the rate. I love their cancellation policy - you never lose your deposit (they allow you to apply to another trip)
Do your research and I think you will find they are a very reputable company!!

and according to other post you have made your vacation was scheduled for the first of March. Did you cancel last minute? if so did you really expect a refund??

No experience trying to cancel, but got an amazing rate for a 2br presidential this past January. Looking at booking a September trip right now. Was a good value for us.

No you don't, but I would never rent from them no matter how great the rate!

Please contact us with your information so we can get this resolved. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We are looking forward to resolving this. 888-832-4223 ext. 310

The poster is having a problem getting a refund.
Thanks for the link.

All I see is a poster making an allegation against a broker, the broker asking to be contacted (and posting what I consider to be VERY lenient cancellation policies), other posters asking for more details so they can evaluate the allegation fairly -- and the poster providing nothing but unsupported criticism.

I hate to see folks having a problem with their vacation arrangements...but there is a point where I stop feeling sorry for them. That point occurs when they make no attempt to fix the problem, provide no details of what was probably their screwup, and use any pretext to slime the party they blame for their problem.

We did book a second trip just today for a September trip. They were very quick with responses for quotes, only require a small deposit (I have seen 50-100% other places), and are extremely easy to work with.

Sure, Wyndham Bonnet Creek IS a timeshare property, but you are just renting points from other owners. When you pick up your "parking pass" they will try to get you to come to a presentation-just skip that and no pressure the entire time you stay there.

Thanks for answering my question, everyone.
All options considered, WBC seems like the way to go for my family!

I used Vacation Strategy last year w/o any issues. Went with Vacation Upgrades this year as they were able to get me into WBC whereas VS could not. Ken and Denise are great, but I also wouldn't hesitate to go back to VS in the future too.
