Vacation Planning DVD

Just received our new Magical Gatherings Planning Kit DVD in the mail. I actually couldn't believe the additional information that they had on this DVD. It is at least a solid hour, with some repetition because of the way they have the DVD organized, but the interactive maps are much better than last year's DVD.

The only gripe I had was that when they were showing the BCV resort, they were actually showing the inside of OKW and I believe WLV. Also, the footage outside the resort was file footage from YC/BC and you could see that BCV was not even built as of yet. They did have some CG of SSR and the new pool that is going in over there.

All in all quite a few new bits of video and an overall well-done. Well worth the time it takes to request, and best of all it's FREE!!

do you remember when you ordered your DVD? i ordered mine a few weeks ago, and have been waiting and waiting for it to arrive!

btw, was it a special theme? i know sometimes they have different DVDs/Videos depending on your survey.
for example, they have 1. Families w/ Children 2. Adults w/o Children 3. Grandparents who want to go w/ Grandchildren etc.

i can't believe they would misrepresent BCV like that though... that's weird...

OK...in order-

Disneyberry: I believe I ordered it about the 1st or 2nd week of October so it took right around 3-4 weeks to get to me. There was no special theme to the DVD. Everything was included including separate booklets for Grand Gatherings, Preschoolers, and something else that I cannot recollect right now.

Guads and Zulaya: If it doesnt come soon I would get back on the website or call down there and see if they can rush one out.

Disney Enthusiast and BillK: I ordered it directly from the disneyworld website at

got my DVD today.
i was all excited, popped it in and watched some parts of it...

and boy... it is boring! it's like watching someone else's home video.
they completely changed the pace of it, and it's waayyy too slow now.
the old "Where the Magic Lives" DVD was much better.

anyway, i checked on the Home Away From Home resorts section.
and there are A LOT of mistakes!
yes, i caught the BCV thing where they showed pics of OKW + VWL.
then when i looked at BWV, there was a shot of OKW in there also.
plus one of the pics wasn't even a DVC unit, it was a suite at the BC or something.
what is up with them misrepresenting the resorts? especially with a DVD where you can pause it and get a very clear look at the picture that's on the screen.

also, no wonder BrianBWV's DVD arrived all broken. talk about the crappiest sleeve for sticking a DVD into. it's so flimsy.

okay, sorry this gripe is getting long. grrr...
