I did read that there will only be 4 epi's in November and then on hiatus until after the Winter Olympics.....March 2010.

I think that will be the death of the show....you cant expect people to come back to a new show after a 3 -4 month break.

I liked last night (and it had great ratings), but wonder if it will be back next season due to the long break.

I was a teenager when the original V came on and have been watching the V marathon on sci fi channel, alone with DD11.

We watched the remake the other night and I was comparing it and how they were switching things around, like the reporter in the 1st one was a lady who ended up getting killed by Diana-she was such a good bad girl.
Now they have Scott Wolf-I am not complaining.

Then the Marc Singer role-yes those jeans fit him well is now Erica Evans. Looks like her son will want to hook up with the Lisa Visitor the way Robin did with the original.

I liked the twist about the guy who was getting engaged, I can't recall his name but was suprised that he is a visitor. DD11 saw him then saw the scene with his girlfriend when she found the ring and DD said" Oh, a alien love story".

The special effects are way better and it will be interesting to see how it is different then the original.

For those who remember, Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger as Willie on the original was one of my favorites.

Yep, ABC is basically going to kill it before it even starts to get going. Any time networks have done this it has turned out badly for ratings I think.

I hate to break the news to all of you, but unfortunately, it will be canceled since I liked it too. DH says I'm the kiss of death for science fiction shows. Enterprise, 4400, Invasion, Life on Mars, Surface, Jericho all gone. Sorry.

My husband says the same thing.. Everytime he likes a show, it gets canceled.. Its generally Fox that does the canceling though.

We liked V. My husband remembers the old series and was trying to tell me all about it. BAH! I was a baby, so I didnt watch it then. Let me enjoy it now!

I missed their red uniforms, though. In the crowd scenes with visitors and humans I wanted the visitors to stand out, not just wear a tie or a hot dress and look like us.

I really enjoyed the show, but thought they gave away too much in the first episode. But if there is going to be such a long hiatus in a month I guess they wanted to hook the viewer in quickly.

It would be perfect for me if Michael Ironside came to kick some butt! Can't wait to see Anna chomping down on a guinea pig!

Watched the first episode last night that we DVR'd. I thought it was going to be cheesy. Though it had some cheese factor, overall I liked it and the previews for the next episode looked good.

Should've known the one guy was a visitor. No man would pick that horrible gold engagement ring. I was literally yelling at the screen when he was in the jewelry shop. "Noooo, platinum or at least white gold, idiot! Do you want her to say 'no'?" lol

I liked the pilot. Will have to see where it goes. I'mnot thrilled that right from the bat the aliens refer to themselves as "V's". That's stupid. The term V was always slang for Visitors. I hope the reboot doesn't stray too far from the path. But so far, I'm on board.
