My family has decided (at the moment anyway), to rent DVC points for an October 2020 trip. I want to stay at the Poly, in a studio, and am planning on submitting my request a little before 11 months.

Any recent experience with this or other websites? I feel better going through a company the first time. Pros and cons? David’s I know may have foreign transaction fees and you pay immediately. ************ has a warranty you can buy. Thoughts?

Any recs for insurance? I feel better with insurance.

I’ve seriously considered a small DVC contract, especially since my daughter is just 2. I’m just not ready to pull the trigger!

I used both main shops in the past. David's upfront pay is the one major difference. Their process and website is less user friendly/modern than the other but ultimately the last time I rented with them, they got it done where the other told me they didn't have the points. Thankfully, I had requested with both and ultimately getting the room you want matters most. The insurance is cool but costly on a big reservation so we have never used it.

We rented thrice a few years ago, once at Aulani and twice at VGF and then bought in at both. It's an addiction and renting is the gateway!
