UY Expiration Points Usage - Straddling use year bookings

Lets say i have 15 points expiring Sept 30 2026 in holding and 100 points expiring Oct 31st 2026 in a second contract.
I make a booking for that's from Sept 28 2026 to Oct 3 2026 that straddles the use years.

When selecting the contracts to use, will the online booking system know to take the 15 points expiring Sept 30 2026 first then take the rest from the second contract??

Sorry I’m having difficulty computing this scenario. 15 holding expiring Sept 30. (Assuming an Oct UY?). Now the other contract with 100 expiring Oct 31? There are no Nov UY’s for points to expire then. (Is this a 100 points same Oct UY but instead expiring end of Sept 2027?)

Same membership same UY, to book as a single reservation crossing your UY or if different UY contracts with a transfer. Both a Member Services assist.

Booking yourself two separate reservations (Same membership) on each side of the same UY can be noted or merged with Member Services assist.

If those 15 are in holding, wouldn’t be able to use them until 60 days within that Sept 28 checkin date.

It's a second contract. i got the expiration wrong.

Thanks for update. Is the other contract in the same membership? (Same UY, same owner(s)?) Or is it a second membership (can be same UY but deeded differently)?

True though, this type of crossing any UY works so much easier with Member Services.

Yikes! Yes. Member Services can assist to transfer those points to set up the reservation. Booking a doozy.

Is there a forum for selling/buying holding points other than the Rent/Transfer forum??

I was also curious if there was a forum for trading points for different dvc resorts. I guess the only way right now is to rent out the points and then rent/transfer in points for a different dvc resort - i guess cash does work better than bartering.

The Rent/Transfer thread is the only one here on the DiS that can be used and the only place where people can offer points for rent/transfer.

There is no way to trade points,,,you can transfer but everyone can only do one in or out per UY.

You could rent a reservation on your membrrhip and then turn around and rent one from someone else.

Ohh. So one transfer transaction per UY regardless of whether its in or out. I was under the wrong impression that each UY can initiate one transfer out.
That makes sense then - bartering does not work in that case.
