UY and ressie

I just bought SSR and waiting for closing on 19th of July. by reading the board, I think I think I am starting to understand how point system works. But.... one thing is puzzling me.

Do I need to have points availble to make ressie? I currently have June UY and since I took the Magical Beginning, my points won't be available until next June (2005). If I want to make ressie for the month of July or August of 2005, do I need to wait until June 05 (don't want to borrow) or can I still make ressie at 11 (or 7) month mark without borrowing?

You just have to have the points available at the time for which the reservation is made. If your reservation is for July 2005, you can use any points that you would have available as of July 2005. So, with a June use year, that would mean that June 2004, June 2005, and June 2006 points could be used for a July 2005 reservation if one appropriately used banking and borrowing privileges. Not a problem making the ressie now (or once you close)

The rule of thumb is, you need to have the points available in your account when you make the trip, not when you make the ressie.

You can make the ressie in advance of your check out date 11 months (for your home resort) or 7 months (for other DVC resorts).
