Does anybody know for certain whether AKV and Kidani Village will be treated as one unit once Kidani is completed?

Suppose someone purchased AKV. Assuming same UY, would one be able to use those points at the 11 month mark at Kidani?

Does anybody know the answer to this without speculating and assuming? From reading here, it seems everyone assumes they are both eventually going to be one "unit" and this may very well be documented somewhere but my deed is to Kidani which makes it different from AKV. I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing.

Thanks.

The AKV is the total designation and Kidani and Jambo are the parts. My OKW deed says that I own part of building 55 and my SSR is 1H but my ability to make reservations is based on the total of OKW. In this case you own part of Kidani building of the Animal Kingdom Villas. You will have the 11th month priority for both buildings as an AKV owner. This is the first time they have given names on the deed to the buildings instead of just numbers and or letters that I know of. I don't remember my SSR deed specifying Congress Park or my OKW saying South Point.

Yes. There is a single AKV condominium association that covers all of AKV -- Jambo House and Kidani Village.

Think of Jambo House and Kidani Village as just sections of AKV, just like "Congress Park" and "Grandstand" are sections of SSR.

I am beginning to wonder if there will be a separate points chart for Kidani Village and another points chart for Jambo house. Is that possible?

Thanks folks. That makes perfect sense and that's what I thought but I just wanted to make sure.

If there is a single condominium association, that pretty much puts the question to rest in my mind.

Thanks.

I'm almost 100 percent certain that there will not be different points charts for Kidani Village and Jambo House. If that was going to happen, then it would have happened by now.

I would have to agree with this which only further supports the claim that it is all one village. If there were going to be differences in points used, it would have to already be published.

I wonder if owners deeded at Kidani will have first priority for those rooms since the savannahs there are going to be more popular than the savannahs at Jambo. Things that make you go, "Hmmmmm..."

You are somewhat confused. Kidani Village is part of AKV. The 5th and 6th floors of Jambo House, the original AKL, is also part of AKV.

Nope not possible, since they have already sold with the point charts in place for the different catagories of "standard", and "Savanna". Those catagories are the same whether they are in Jambo or Kidani. If they weren't they would have had to specify "standard Jambo" or "standard Kidani", and that was not done.

Kidani and Jambo are two buildings within the same resort. All AKV owners will have equal booking priority. As far as Kidani having more popular savannas, Kidani will have one small savanna of its own but a large number of its Savanna View rooms will face the Sunset Savanna which is shared with Jambo House.

Just an FYI: your UY has nothing to do with when you can make a reservation. You can book at your home resort (using points from that resort) starting 11 months from your check out date regardless of your UY.

You missed the point. :)

I was trying to determine if it was the same resort. That's what/why I was asking.

My guide sold me on "Kidani Village" and my deed is for Kidani Village. I never saw the TERM AKV until after I had already purchased and THEN found this forum. Maybe that explains my confusion. :)

I understood your question about whether Kidani and Jambo are separate resorts but you included the phrase "assuming same UY" in your question. That made me wonder if you realized that your UY has no bearing on when you can make a reservation.

If they were considered seperate resorts, the UY would matter at the 11 month mark. That was what I was assuming (different resorts).

In hindsight, I guess I didn't articulate my OP very well. Oh well, we're clear as mud now. LOL

Thanks for all the clarifications and explanations everybody. I think I've got it now. :)

No, the UY would not matter. If they were separate resorts then owners could book 11 months from their check out date regardless of their Use Year and non-owners could not book until 7 months from their check out date, again regardless of their Use Year.

ETA: I think you are confusing Use Year with Home Resort points. If you want to book at AKV in the 11-month window, you need AKV points. Those points could have a Feb UY or a June UY or an Oct UY or any other UY -- it doesn't matter but they must be AKV points to book at AKV in the 11-month window. If someone who owns at SSR wants to book at AKV, they would have to wait until the 7-month window opened to book at AKV with their SSR points. Those SSR points could have a Feb UY or a June UY or a Dec UY or any other UY but because they are SSR points and not AKV points, they cannot be used to book anywhere other than SSR until 7 months before the check out date.
