UT Cancellation

I found a room only rate for a week at the Poly with UT that is around $400.00 cheaper than the Disney site. I'm afraid to pull the trigger in case we have to cancel. UT requires the reservation to be paid in full at the time of booking. It says free cancellation up to 5 days before the check-in date. Has anyone had to cancel a UT reservation in the COVID era? If so what was your experience?

Search the forums for a ticket refund thread for UT. UT ticket refunds have been taking 6-7 weeks. I am guessing, so take it for what it's worth, the resort refunds may be online with that.
