Using WDW tickets at Disneyland?

I heard you can use WDW tickets at Disneyland just not the other way around - has anyone tried this? We have non-park hoppers, but we would want a PH at Disneyland. Could we just pay the difference?

I do not believe you can pay the difference, since what you recieve in exchange is a complimentary ticket which is not upgradeable.

Though double check with Disneyland. Maybe you'd still get a park hopper even though your WDW ticket is not.
