Using TiW with CRT

This has probably already been covered but.... I made an ADR for CRT online yesterday and then realized that it is part of TiW. There was no option when booking on-line to apply the 20% discount. I called WDW Dining and they saw that it qualified for the TiW discount but couldn't apply it.

After being on hold for a period of time they were able to credit back on my cc the amount reflecting a 20% TiW discount.

But now I have a question... How do they know I really have TiW. Will they ask for my card when I arrive for my ADR? Or does it show in their system when I purchased the card from guest services?? Now I am curious.

Bring your Tables in Wonderland card with you. You plan to use it during your trip anyway, right? If they ask to see your card, you can show them. I always thought they were able to give back the difference at the restaurant after showing the card. I didn't think they'd pro-rate it on the phone.

We paid in full in advance, showed our server our TiW card, and he ran a credit through for us on our credit card. We will be doing the same again in April.

It is not a full 20% off the pre-payment price, though, because there is no TiW discount on the photo package, and that is part of the entire price. So it will be a bit less than 20%.

The TIW discount is usually credited back at the time of your meal because the server needs to see the card. You were sprinkled with a little pixie dust which took time while you were put on hold on the phone.

Thanks for the responses... I will have my TiW card with me so I will be able to present it if they ask. Good to know others have received the discount.

On our last trip in November they took the discount off when I made the reservation. I had to read the numbers off the back of my TIW card to the CM over the phone and I was only charged the TIW price. At the restaurant our waitress noted that we had TIW and did ask for card.

That makes sense. They didn't ask for the numbers on the back of my card (very tiny print!) so I fully expected that they will at the restaurant.
