using TIW w DDP

Ok... I have a TIW card and I am doing the DDP next month- I know I can use the TIW for appetizers and alcohol- should I ask for separate checks for these items or will the server be able to handle the 2 things at the end of the meal?

We did this last trip, and it would be better if you told the server at the beginning to split the bill. Most times when we gave them the cards at the end they needed to get a manager to handle it, and ended up doing seperate checks for the dining plan portion, and the TIW portion.

We did this a number of times during our trip - just back last night. I always forgot to mention TIW until the end. Since they have to give you 2 checks anyway (one for the tip and any extras not covered by DDP) it was never a problem.

The only time a server had to get a manager's approval for using TIW was last Sat AM at GFC. We'd said we'd pay OOP and use TIW discount because we didn't want to use up DDP table credits on breakfast.

I love TIW and may be another convert to TIW-only next trip.
