Using the FP+ System - just a few questions??

Hi all,

It'll be our fist time using this system and I've had a little practice to see how it works (our window doesn't up for another 2 weeks).

* Am I best choosing an 'option' which best fits our group/plan and then attempt to modify the timings afterwards?

* Two of my party will be riding different rides then the other two at times and so how do you do this on the system - do I choose the ride for all 4 of us first and then modify, or do I only select the two I want to choose rides for and then the other two?

* Another family are at WDW as well and we are linked on MDE in so much as she has control of her MDE and I have control of mine but we can still see each others dining reservations. Will we also be able to view each others FP+ reservations too?

Thanks for any help.

PS. - Is there anything I MUST NOT do on the FP+ booking system, i.e that might delete all my FP's etc.?

I'd pick the must do's at the times that you think will suit you best, The big ones like TSM, 7DMT etc can be difficult to change, but it is possible. People change their plans all the time, so you can keep checking

I'd go with choosing the 4 initially (again esp for the hard to get ones) and then modify the other 2

Have no experience of linked accounts, so can't help there

I did find the website far more reliable. I had issue sometimes with the app not showing things, including ADRs, but they were always on the site and then magically re-appeared on the app some time later

1- Yes.
2- Book ALL. Then UPDATE FastPass+ / CHANGE EXPERIENCE for the two guests in question.
3- Yes.
4- Do NOT use the "CANCEL" FP+ option.

I find it's easiest to modify times if I choose the initial Option which is farthest away from the time of day that I want.

For example, if I want FP+s for late morning and early afternoon, I will pick the Option that has all evening times. Then when I go to change the time of each attraction, all available late morning/early afternoon times will show up.

(But if I choose the initial Option with late morning/early afternoon times, I will be very limited in my ability fine-tune those times. The system won't show me any available times that would overlap at all with the times of the initial Option.)

As far as the linked accounts, you will be able to see AND BOOK/CHANGE each others' fastpasses. This can be good if you want to plan together, but you should both definitely be aware so that you don't accidentally change each others FPs. i kind of wish you could set a permission for friends to see but not control your FPs, but unless it's a newly added feature i hadn't heard of, you can't.
