Using points for Disneyland Resort

How soon can I book using points at Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland?We are looking to travel 12/13- 12/18 of this year.

All of the non-DVC options may be currently be reserved 11 months ahead.

IF (and this is a BIG IF), there are points charts available for the time period that you want to stay. You should be safe, because your stay is this year. There are no points charts yet for 2009 for many non-DVC options, and may not be until just before the end of 2008.

Thanks for your responses. I was able to get a room at the Grand Californian in Dec.

This will be my family's first trip to Disneyland.

Not sure if you have stayed at the Grand Californian before? We will be driving from Houston and I would like to know how the hotel feels about bring your cooler into the room?

We have not stayed at the Grand Californian before. We have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, and liked that, but wanted to try something different this time. I would assume that you would have no problem with a cooler in your room. It's just another piece of luggage, right?
