Using points and cash for DCL "?"

I have a question about using points and cash to pay for a cruise. If I am using points I book through member services and then pay the rest to them including the $95 fee. My question is do I pay them in full at the time of booking or is it like booking through DCL or Disney you give them a deposit and pay the rest by a certain date?
