Using other people's scooters for your waiting area

Well, I think I may have finally seen it all. We rented a scooter for my Father-in-law who had knee surgery this past winter and has a difficult time walking distances. He loves the Tower of Terror so he parked the scooter near the exit and got in the fast pass line with us. When we came out of the ride, we found a family using FIL's scooter as a lounge chair! :sad2: They did not speak English, as least they didn't around us. It was 2 grown men "sharing" the seat and get this .....they had the daughter in the basket! To top it off, she was fanning herself with FIL's mister fan! Thinking back on it now, I can :rotfl: laugh about it , but boy was I steamed when I saw this sight.

When FIL got back on, the gears were not as he left them and as we moved away from this family, we could hear them laughing loudly behind us. Just a typical day at Disney I guess. :rotfl2:

OMG This takes the cake. and the icing on the cake- the kid using his fan!

Yes, OP I had to laugh out loud when you got to that part! :rotfl2: So nice of your family to make their wait more comfortable. :rotfl:

Oy vey, some people just think the whole world belongs only to them.

I cannot STAND ppl like that! I just dont understand them either! They would have gotten an earful from me..

UGGH! I can't believe the audacity of some people....and the girl using your mister fan.....I am speechless.

Unfortunately I wish I could be surprised. People like that come from all walks- but it seems like most of them "can't" speak english. when you know darn well they can, it's an excuse to behave like that. You and your family are better than me- there is no excuse for ignorant behavior like that.

I would have encouraged FIL to "accidentally" run into one of them... OOPS!

Where's a hand-held compressed-air BOAT HORN when you need one?
:rolleyes1

THAT means SCOOT in ANY language. :rotfl2:

Anyone who tries that with my DH's is going to find out that people with MS can sometimes move pretty damn quick when they want to and have a very long reach with their canes. ;)

I think I would have said to my husband, just loud enought for them to hear...
" oh my gosh they were on my scooter, I bet they catch that rash I have" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Next time this happens, take a picture of them and post it on the boards, so we can all have a laugh at them! What a bunch of baphoons.

Moral of this story: never assume that if someone can afford a $60 ticket, that they have class (ettiquette, etc.).

That's a good one! Or, "How's that poison ivy coming along dad?" :rotfl:

The entitlement mentality at it's finest. It's here, I want to use it, so it's ok for me to use it.
It must be wonderful to have the universe exist completely for your own benefit.

LOVE the rash comment idea. I'll try and remember that.

That's the best thing I've heard all day.

I would have been appauled and wanted to get REALLY angry and loud with them. Though, anyone who knows me knows I would just turn away shaking my head and stewed about it the rest of the day.

Ugh, rude people!! I like Laurajean's idea.... Take a picture of the person/people and post it for all to see! Not that they'd ever know it was posted unless they happen to be DISers (but of course there are no rude DISers...lol) But maybe just the act of taking their picture would throw them for a loop, make them wonder....maybe make them nervous they'll get in trouble, enough to make them not do it again anyway.

Sounds like that famiy would just think it was a Photo Pass photographer capturing the "cute" moment of the little girl in the basket. :teeth: ;)

HA! I wish I would have thought of that! :lmao: I was just too stunned to even utter a word. DH managed a very unfriendly "Excuse me!" Then DD spent the rest of the day asking why she couldn't sit in Grandpa's basket. :sad2: We shall always cheerish that memory.

I can just imagine one of them reaching into his pocket to hand me his PhotoPass card. :lmao:
