Using ME to get back to the airport

We are renting a car in October and I was wondering if anyone has used to resort airport check-in and baggage transfer without using ME for the transportation to the airport?

Resort check out time is 11:00 am and our plane does not leave until 6:00 pm. Is it possible to check in and get your boarding passes and have your bags checked without using the actual ME buses to get back to the airport? Has anyone done this?

If you're flying home on a participating airline (see 'sticky' post at top of list of threads, "What Participating Airline Really Means" ) yes, you can absolutely check in at the Remote Airline Check-in Counter, get your boarding passes, check your luggage through to your home/destination airport and then get TO the airport any way you choose.
Just remember - EVERY member of your party has to check in at the RAC, just as at the airport, and every adult has to have/show ID.
Disney's got all your money by then, so they don't force you to ride the DME bus back to the airport; and since not every airline 'participates' with respect to DME, there's a lot less luggage for the service to transport to the airport than from it.
