Take pity on me, please - my first trip to Disney World since 1978 (back when you only had to call it Disney World because there was no Epcot, MGM, AK . .) -- anyway, we are arriving Sun. June 3 on American Airlines, at about 10:00 p.m. We are signed up for Magical Express and staying at All-Star Sports. We have already received our yellow ME luggage tags.

My questions are: Where do we go when we get off the plane? I assume there is a "yellow brick road" or similar to direct people to the ME area. I've read elsewhere on this forum that there are lines to get in for the ME buses to the various resorts - is that correct? We're going to be arriving pretty late and heading straight to Sports to get a good night's sleep before hitting the ground running Monday morning. Just want to make sure I have my facts straight. Thanks to all. Kellie in Texas

assume not. you need to get to Level 1 on the B side and walk all the way down the hallway and check in with the DME welcome desk, who will direct you to the lines for the buses.

there is a map of the layout of the main MCO building on the inside cover of your DME booklet. those thick dark grey lines are entire hallways. you can only cross between A and B on L3, so it's a bit confusing in that respect.

You will not see any signs for ME, since the airport doesn't allow them. When you arrive, take the airport monorail to the main terminal, then head to the 'B' side. You will be on Level 3. Find the huge neon 'B', then take the escalators or elevator down to Level 1 (ground transportation).

Head over to the ME desk and check in. They will direct you to the line for the bus for your resort.

Once you arrive, since you are arriving late and your luggage will arrive even later (it usually takes from 1 to 3 hours), make sure to let bell services know that you want your luggage to be delivered in the morning. Make sure you have enough in your carry-on for the night.

Have fun! You definitely won't believe how much 'The World' has grown!

IIRC, once you get down to level one, there are DME folks at the bottom of the escalators/elevators to direct you towards the DME check-in area. :thumbsup2
We fly to MCO fairly often, and we've always seen them. :goodvibes
