Using Fast Pass for shows?

FWIW - I was very disappointed with Beauty and the Beast FP+. I now know from reading around here that was a poor use of a Fastpass! We showed up in our window and everyone was being let in already so there was no priority access and no reserved seating. I don't know if that has change since we did that last year, but I wouldn't use it for that show.

Yeah, "priority access" is a poor way to describe what may happen but it's the best I've been able to come up with. You may be let in a few minutes earlier, at the same time, or even after the standby guests (especially if you arrive later during the FP window). Another reason why show FPs are weird.

I think all you're entitled to get is guaranteed entry so long as you show up before your fastpass window expires. This is preferable really only where you are waiting for something popular, whereas if you got into the standby line at the same time you redeemed your FP you might not get in at all.

Some might have some kind of reserved or better seating but it's not guaranteed. and you won't necessarily get to enter BEFORE the standby line does.
