Has anyone ever used their DVC points to book a cruise? I'm just wondering if there are any extra costs involved and how many points it takes. I can't seem to find this information anywhere so if you can help I will be very grateful.

TIA.

We just used our points to cruise. The number of points depends on how many people, length of cruise and category. Call DVC they can let you know!

In addition there is a $50 (I think - might be more, but less then $100) fee for using points to cruise.

Other than the one time $75 fee there are no other charges. Now there are hidden drink charges, hidden photo charges, etc on the ship :)

We used our points for the upcoming cruise 1/16/05 Wonder 4-day. We are a family of 5 and I would just like to point out that you must ask questions.

I found out after I'd booked that it might have been less points to reserve two higher category rooms rather than the 1 family suite.

Please just keep that in mind and be sure to ask DVC member services to compare lots of options for you.

Best of luck and happy cruising to you;)

I'm going to move this over to the DVC board where maybe you will get some more answers.
