How does applying a disney visa discount work? My husband has the card, but I'm planning a trip for my mom and me (husband will not attend). Will they require the card at check in or can we pay in advance (using hubby's card) and still get the discount?

I'm not aware of any current Disney Visa discounts. They're usually just advance booking for a room discount before it goes public or the opportunity to get free six months to pay off the trip

If they do offer a Disney Visa discount (usually, it's a pre-sale of an upcoming general public sale) you only need it at the time of booking, and when you pay it off. No need to actually bring it to WDW (though there might be a discount for shopping at the World of Disney at DTD.)

Your husband will just need to pay the deposit with his Disney Visa card. That is the only required payment to take advantage of a DV offer. Your husband can easily add you as an authorized user so you can have your own card mailed to you with your name on it. Even if you never use it to pay for anything, you could at least use it to get your free photo at EPCOT.

How does it work, if you already have a reservation and a Disney Visa discount comes out...do you just have to give them the number to switch your reservation to the discount, since your deposit is already paid?

If you put your original deposit down with your DV then all you need to do is call and see if the discount can be applied to your existing reservation.

If you put your original deposit down on a different form of payment, you will just be asked to put another $200 down using your DV on that same reservation.
