Using Disney Gift Card I bought from Kroger

Kroger is having their buy certain gift cards and get 4x the fuel points. Can I use the Disney gift cards to buy Disneyland/World tickets online? If I bought $1000.00 of gift cards and came home and bought my tickets right then, I'd get $50.00 off on gasoline.

Anyone know if this is true? Ever done it?

I have bought disney tickets at guest services using disney gift cards from Kroger but it does not look like you can do it online. You might be able to do it by calling Disney and buying the tickets over the phone.

That is true except for the per month part. $1000 dollars is 4000 points which is 4 fillups(up to 35 gallons) at a $1 off a gallon. We always use the full 35 gallons so for us it would be a savings of $140.00(35 dollars for each fill-up) this can all be used in the same month.

They don't carry over to the next month. March's will be due by April 30.

If you get the points in march they expire the last day of april, in april they expire the last day of may etc..... it's important to note that 4x fuel points goes through april 7th. so, i would buy some in march and some in april(before the 7th). If you got a $500 gift card in march that would be 2000 points that expire april 30th and then another $500 gift card on april 1st that would be 2000 points that expire on may 31st.

Sorry just saw your per month part. That is wrong. We have used 4000 points in a given month many times( a fillup a week) the only limit is $1 per fill-up.

Online you can only use 1 form of payment, so it would have to be 1 gift card that covers the whole amount.
If you call in, they can only do 2 forms of payment. So you could use 1 gift card and a credit card or 2 gift cards. But they can't combine more than 2 forms. I ran into this problem when I went to buy our MVMCP tickets this past December. I had been saving up gift cards and had no idea that you have to do it in person if you have more than 2.

My kroger sells disney gift cards for up to $1500. you choose the amount. i have also seen people post that they have called disney and were able to combine many small gift cards into one.

I was just letting her know that you cannot use a bunch over the phone or online to pay for tickets. The most you can use online is 1, 2 over the phone. You can use as many as you want at Guest Services to pay for tickets.

I totally got that and actually appreciate the info. I was just offering a potiential work around to the fact that you can only use 1 gift card online and 2 over the phone.

I have never tried this myself but have seen many posts where people say they have been successful at doing this. I think if you do this it is important to keep all the activation receipts for all your cards until you have confirmed that the balance was indeed transfered. Most people who do this also post that they combine as they go along(perhaps once they have 6 cards or so built up) instead of all at once to reduce the time you are on the phone with the CM.

I called on a Sunday and got an automated payment system and use 7 gift cards one at a time. It worked great!!!

My question for you is can you use a gift card for the tip at the restaurants? I would like to buy a card to use at disney but we are on the dining plan so all we would need is tips.

Yes, you can make multiple payments on your vacation package with gift cards. It's making a purchase of tickets that it limits you.
Yes, we've used gift cards for paying tips, never had any issues doing so
