I booked a photographer from Disney Event Photography for our upcoming visit. There will be 8 of us (including grandparents), so I really wanted a nice portrait of us all. We went with the "mini portrait session". http://www.disneyeventphotography.com/portraits/

Anyone that's used them -- any suggestions to make our session better? We're still discussing clothing, but thinking white/light pink/denim. Boys wear white shirts and denim bottoms. Girls wear light pink shirts and denim bottoms. Thoughts?

We chose the Polynesian as our resort. The example photos on their site look really nice. I must say that overall, I think their site is lacking and could be a lot better.

Hoping others have had good experiences!!

DF and I got our engagement pictures taken at Epcot in December. Our photographers were Regina and Anthony. They were AWESOME. I would definitely put in a request for them if you can. Requests are not guarenteed but they are usually honored. Regina was so nice and really got the vision we were going for. I wanted more "capturing moments" pictures than staged pictures. She did a really good job of that. There's pictures on angles with floral in front. There's also tons of pictures where we are just looking at each other or taking a stroll. I also had to choose 5 countries we wanted to be shot in. She also threw in some other hidden places that we didn't even think of. Overall, we couldn't have been happier.

I think the outfit choices are good. You just have to try and picture the outcome. Do you want everyone to look alike? There was only two of us so I didn't want us to look alike but I wanted us to go together. I wore a purple sweater and DF wore a light blue button up shirt with navy vertical striped lines. They usually say long sleeves/pants are better because the eye goes right to the face when viewing pictures and is not distracted by other exposed skin. Also, jewlery reflects light so we avoided it.

I googled picture clothing choices to see what other tips were out there and what the different types of choices look like in an actual photo. Also, think if you want it casual or formal.

It'll be nice that you have a large group because you should be able to do lots of different photos: Mom/Dad, Grandparents/Grandkids, Kids only, everyone, etc.

I would definitely think what types of pictures you want. Posed, non posed, funny, silly, action shots, etc. Try to google pictures of the Poly if you've never been to see the different spots to take pictures at and have a few spots in mind: the beach, and some with the castle in the background! Also think if you want any props. Some people do just one photo with all Mickey ears on or something fun.

HAVE FUN!! :)

Our family did the photo session at Poly and couldn't have been happier! Our photographer gave us over 200 photos on a cd. We did each of our 3 kids separate and together, my DH and I alone, than the 5 of us together.

It's nice to get the CD. It comes with a waiver to show the developer that you have permission to print the images. Walgreens demanded this of me before processing my order. We uploaded one online to do our family Christmas card too!

We had pics of us walking on the beach, the kids reaching towards some ducks on the shore, each kid got a close up in a hammack, we squeezed the 5 of us into a hammock, we had waterfall and tropical backgrounds, and my favorite is the 5 of us barefoot on the beach with the castle behind us.

I am very technologically challenged, and cannot figure out an easy way to post a few here. If you want to message me your email, I will email you a few of my favorite poly pics so you can get an idea.

How long was your photo session?

WOW! I just followed the link from OP, and the price has really gone up! We had a 1 hour session for $150 including the cd. It has only been 1.5 years! I was thinking of doing it again this september when we go- but 20 minutes is CLOSE to take all the photos we would want (with individual pics of the kids). And the $350 package is overkill (and more than I'm willing to spend).

do you know if a cd of images is included with the enhanced package? I would love to get photos of my family at epcot. I tried to send an email, but kept getting error messages.

Thanks!

I'm curious to find out how much the CD is for the enhanced package at Epcot. DH and I have our hearts on the World Showcase photo shoot as we've done the portrait sessions around the resorts before. Hopefully the CD isn’t too much more since the package is already $350.

I believe it's just $350 for the enhanced session. I've read nothing about it being more than that. I would call them. Calling seems better than emailing.

As a follow-up to my original post.....we couldn't have been happier with our photos! We went with the 20-minute mini-session at the POLY. Our photographer was great. Super nice and easy to work with. There were 8 in our group and I had about 15 different combinations of people that I wanted. She really worked with us. We went to 4-5 different locations within the resort, took a variety of shots, etc. She did not hold us to the 20-minute time limit. The sun was in and out and she wanted us to get the best shots. Our CD has 74 photos and many of them are keepers. Yay! Very pleased with this experience and would definitely use them again.
