Using Disney Dollar

Can you redeem your Disney dollars in any of the hotels there at Disneyland. I was thinking of getting couple hundred $ to spend while we are on vacation there but wanted to make sure they take them at the diningrooms & shops at the resorts also. And how about in Downtown Disney there? My son will think it is so cool to have Disney Money of his own

As far as I know, Disney $ are accepted just like cash anywhere on Disney property. I always get most of my spending $ in Disney $, it just makes it more fun!
