DD18 and I are going to do a quick 3 day trip. I would like to purchase our flights today, but I'm a little short on points. DH has enough points to either make up the difference, or enough for DD's whole flight. Can I just purchase my daughter's flight on his account, even though he will not be traveling with us? Or, am I going to just have the pay the transfer fee and transfer the points needed to my account to cover DD's flight?

From their FAQ:

Can I book travel with points for other Passengers (not me)?
Yes. The Rapid Rewards Member who owns the account from which the points will be used will need to make the reservation for the person traveling. Simply get the destination, travel dates, and flight times from the person who will be using your points and log in to your account at southwest.com to book the reward travel. Reward travel is subject to the government-imposed September 11th Security Fee of $5.60 per one-way trip, which must be paid with a credit card.

Thank you so much! I looked all over the SW site and couldn't find anything! I obviously wasn't looking in the right area!

Just for future reference, I don't know of any frequent flyer programs which don't allow you to use your points/miles to buy a ticket for someone else.
