Using Debit Card To Charge To Room

I'm sure this has been asked before, but when I go in December, I'm using the debit card. I love charging to the room. Can I charge to my room and use my debit card? Is it an option to hold it with a credit card and then charge it to the debit? I'm staying at SSR and the limit is $1500. I won't spend that much, but I don't want a hold of $1500 on my debit card either.

Yes, you can use your debit card. We did this at AKL last year (forgot what the limit was, but we didn't even come close to it). There will not be a hold on the card. They will charge your card for the charges you've made only at the time of check out.

We do it all the time, our debit is Visa linked and we lovethe fact that we are now earning points on it. The limit on deluxes is $1500, then they charge your card and it starts over. BTW, if you have a balance due on arrival that is a seperate charge, doesn't come off the $1500. We stayed at the GF for 5 nights during spring break and didn't hit $1500, so you should be fine.

We stayed at WL last year and finally on the last day we hit our 1500.00 limit. We had put meals on it as well as souvies too. But we used our Debit card and it was fine.

Thanks. I'd really like to use it, but don't really like the thought of the hold. Glad to hear there isn't one. I WON"T spend that much.
