Ok, here's today's useless history lesson.

Today in 1813 Captain James Lawrence, Commander of the US Frigite Chesapeake, said, "Don't give up the ship." He later lost the battle to a British Frigate

in 1792 Kentucky became the 15th state.
in 1796 Tennessee became the 16th state.

Honestly, social studies/history were my very least favorite subjects in school. Lot of boring teachers. I did have a very interesting history teacher in college, though. (Not that I remember anything. :o )

I wouldn't say just because people may choose not to read and/or reply to certain posts that it necessarily means they have no interest in the topic, though. I think it all depends on why a person is here.

That's my take, anyway. :)
