I'll send them right over! I am wondering what the moosetrack cookies will taste like fresh out of the oven with some vanilla ice cream placed between them. Oh the horrors of science!

I just found this thread and so excited to start reading it from the beginning. We just booked the Poly CL the end of August to celebrate our 10yr anniversary. We were going to go to the Biltmore in Arizona but the kids and DH & I got the WDW withdrawls and switched today. I'm so excited to try this resort. We've spent time there just exploring and eating but I've got high hopes for our stay. I'm sure I'm going to have lots of questions but I'll try to read through this thread so I'm not repeating things said/asked before.

Actually, there are two rooms facing the MK with 2 queen beds ( had both of them last year), so you should have a good shot at having a MK view. You will love the 14th floor, the CM's are very nice and very helpful.

OK you BC go'ers. Who in the lounge did you really like? Can you give any hints and tips? I plan to really hang out there those last two days. If the family wants to do a park they can go. I plan to live it up at the resort. You'll find me easily by SAB, the lounge or in my room napping or reading a book off the balcony. :goodvibes What's the best way to the SAB? What were the evening appetizer(s) like? Desserts? Wine?

I can't wait to finally be there. I need to find something really cool for these folks in IPO that have been such a tremendous help to me. Personal shopping, special turn down request, birthday dinner/cake (although I may just go to Kona's instead of eating in our room), in-room massages with music, changing countless dinner PS's, etc.

:guilty: My TA just phoned and said that Conc. @ the Poly wasn't available for our dates, Oct 10-15.The Poly is doing reno's to conciegre lounge at that time. WDW said we could change to concierge somewhere else at WDW's expense or stay at the POLY and be refunded the difference. So I phoned my GF (who is paying for it all) and she want's to still stay Poly (because and only because it's on the monorail)...remember hyper (ADHD) 7yrs DS.

I was actually hoping that the Free dining plan promo would be extended/ rerun for that time (the dates for free dining plan only goes to Oct 4th)- Anyone heard anything about those dates?

Should I recommend another deluxe (GF or CR) for concierge for her?

Thanks

Well, first to answer your question I would absolutely reccomend you stick to concierge somewhere. I would choose GF over CR mostly because of theme and pool. Why wouldn't your friend choose those since they have the monorail? I don't have experience with ADHD but do have 3 small children and my kids LOVED concierge. And I love the convenience of concierge with any children. I would think a child with ADHD would find sit down meals difficult.

Now can I ask you a question? Did you already have a reservation for those dates at Poly CL and are now getting bumped (sounds like that since Disney is offering to pay for any difference) or did you try to make new reservations? Maybe Disney would offer to give you free dining since you're being bumped? You're getting me very concerned. I've got Poly GVC for 10/14 to 10/23. I emailed IPO 6/13 and again yesterday because I still haven't heard from them.

Thanks for any insight! Do you think I should just try to call them or give them a few more days to respond to yesterday new email?

Debbie-any cookies?

Well to update ya'll... Yes we were getting bumped, I've had the ressie since Feb/05. Not a new ressie.
My GF said OK to GF concierge as long as it wasn't Sugar loaf- (no wine or beers). WDW wasn't about to pick up the difference for GF main building conc.- but I said but it's still the same service level as the Poly CL.

Then WDW actually told my TA that Disney thinks reno's will be completed by our check in date....and it was almost too soon to be planning CL at another resort  :confused3 , soooooo why did they even call us duh!,

I did also try to get free dining but they wouldn't go for that yet....because we're probably going to be getting what we booked Poly GV-CL as orignally booked.

I'll let you know if anything changes...

Should IPO have called me yet, because I also haven't heard from them yet?

We are staying at WL from July 23rd. We are hoping to upgrade our junior suite to concierge.....do you know whether this is possible?
Also, do you have any idea what the offerings on the menu are like.
And do you have any idea how much they are charging to upgrade to concierge?
So many questions!

Caroline

Hi, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner, one of the WL VET's just received this E-mail from the Concierge Staff:

This information has posted by Majestic
Here is the real deal answer to your question:

Fred, the official answer is "no", the guest cannot book a Junior Suite with concierge access. This subject might be re-visited in 2006. The guest may inquire at check-in here in the resort. If the Club Level floor is not sold out, we might be able to service the guest's Junior Suite, but asking at the resort, will not guarantee a "Yes" answer (cost is calculated by the number of party members in the room if the answer to access is "yes").

Thanks for the info. So many people seemed to have been lucky with free upgrades to Concierge, I was hoping to get my family hooked!
4 weeks today..and counting!

This just happened to me, too. We've had our reservations since last September :(

They won't move us to main conc at GF or 14th floor at CR (they say it is not cost comparative)

I am tempted to stay at the Poly still, but was really looking forward to the Lounge.

It was a difficult decision but we are planning to call our TA tomorrow and switch to the BW.

A question, though. Are the Concierge rooms the deluxe rooms or is that something different?

Thanks

If you are asking about the deluxe rooms at the BW, then Yes, they are all CL. You need to know though that some are on the 4th floor, lounge floor, and some are on the 3rd floor. I had one of these rooms in Oct and it was great having the extra space and the view was the best!

Actually, my question is are the concierge rooms all deluxe rooms or is there a standard concierge room, also? I thought the BWI slept 5 (which we need) but looking through my UOG it says BWI only sleeps 4?

Thanks

The deluxe rooms at the BW sleep 6. There are 2 queen beds and a queen sfa in the sitting area that pulls out to a bed. The rooms are very big and so comfortable. There are 2 tvs and the extra space is so nice. The other concierge level rooms are the same size as standard floor rooms. You will love the bW. It is my favorite place to stay. The cast of the Innkeeper's club are the best as are the ones in the planning office.
I do have pictures of the deluxe room. If you PM me your e-mail adress I will be happy to send them to you.

Well, it's official! We're going to WDW, staying Poly CL in March! DH put the deposit down and we've got a reservation # now. :cool1:

And we're not telling the kids about it until Christmas. I don't know if I can stand it! LOL But I'm sure I can keep my mouth shut... just gotta make sure they don't see me doing Disney stuff on the computer. ;)

My question is this: Since we made the ressie via our TA, when should we let the IPO know we're coming?

Holy Mickey Mouse, Batman, I'm so gosh darn excited!!! :Pinkbounc

Does Yacht Club Conceirge service beer & wine at night?
Thanks,
Shelby

Would you do the safari open to all concierge guests with 2 well behaved 6 year old girls? My DD loves nature and my friend is a physics prof so her 6 year is pretty smart....

Yes they do. It was out from 5-7pm. From 8-10pm there are assorted cordials available.

I've been asking IPO lots of questions as I try to make my plans as I'm closing in on my 90 day mark. I hope to try a few new things on this trip since the kids are a bit older.

On the last email she jokingly said she needed a cup of coffee. I thought it would be fun to show my appreciation with a gift card for a coffee shop. Are Dunkin Donut shops everywhere in FL like here in MA? Would Star Bucks be better? I don't have a Krispy Kreme close but could perhaps find one if that would be best.
