Tomb cake. What kind of desserts do you serve on Easter? Obviously, we'll have candy. Just trying to figure out something new to have as a dessert.
We dye them, refrigerate, hide and hunt, make deviled eggs. I have 30 already boiled for the kids (12 of them ages 19 - 29).Growing up I can't recall that Easter dessert was ever a certain/specific item. The entree was usually ham which seemed somewhat traditional.
We also would dye Easter eggs ahead of time, but never ate them since they sat around at room temperature for a few days.
flourless chocolate cakes
I don’t think that’s as relevant these days…Surprised nobody to this point has mentioned Hot Cross Buns. THAT is the traditional Easter dessert to me. Easter is the only time bakeries make them.
As relevant as Easter. And bakeries will only offer them at Easter.I don’t think that’s as relevant these days…

I think most folks see them as an Easter brunch item, and not an Easter dessert item.
