We have stayed Poly LVC twice.
I am wondering if I book GVC if I will regret it. (I know both are nice and we are blessed to be able to stay in either--I really do get that).
First visit I was disappointed with our view because we were first floor and there was an overgrown bush. We couldn't see anything and no rooms available to move us for several days. (It wasn't a little obstructed it was fully obstructed --could see nothing but the bush). The room we moved to had a great view. The next visit I booked GVC but then looked at all the great pics from LV and switched. We got a second floor room and I was kind of disappointed (not the end of the world it was still nice, but it wasn't my dream view). Kind of had to stand at an odd angle to see the night sites.

So, now planning the next trip and am thinking I should just book GVC given previous experience. My family enjoyed watching everything from the lounge and beach anyway.

Anyone switch from LVC to GVC? How was it? Did you wish you would have just payed the extra for the view?

If it were anywere else I would worry and do it myself, but with Don you have NO worries. He is by far one of the best IPO's out there! We stayed at 4 hotels and I used the IPO services from the CR, WL and AKL. AKL was by far the best and got everything I wanted and early. WL did very well also. CR messed all my adr's up! We did V & A and I told them I would do that one myself. Well, some-one didn't listen and booked it and canceled the one I made. Good thing I checked because it was the wrong time. They also booked me CG for the wrong day. So I would let Don do his magic for you..he is simply great!

We even had a couple of questions on when to fit in something and they gave us suggestions and ::::::::::;poof::::::::: it worked! We also had been traveling with another family who had to cancel and all our adjoining ADR's were cancelled with it. I got an email from Melissa at IPO who had apparantly caught it and rebooked all of ours and sent me a new itenerary with new numbers before i had even heard that ours had been cancelled. They seem to go above and beyond...

I was just wondering about your comment that the AKL IPO should be getting even better. I have been dealing with the AKL IPO staff the past several months and have received excellent service from them.

I recently answered a WDW survey on the Poly Club Level. Tikiman sent me the survey. It seems that guests are having a lot of problems with the Poly staff and WDW is trying to correct the situation.

We've had no issues with AKL IPO responding to emails, their turnaround time has been incredibly fast. I asked them to confirm our adrs a week or so again, we have 28scared1 and within 2 hours they'd supplied me with a document detailing every adr, time, location and dress code.

I agree that AKL IPO is the best. I would think that they would be helping with the Poly IPO -- not the other way around.

Will concierge only book adr's for the number of people that is in the room or will they book them for whatever number of people you ask for in the reservation? Example if there is only 2 people stay in a concierge room, but there is actually 6 people in the party will they book for the 6 or just the two.

They will make ADR's for the amount of people you want.

I've had some conflicting info - Are standard concierge level rooms at AKL savannah view? My AAA TA says no, Disney's booking engine says yes.

Absolutely, without a doubt, the answer to your question is YES - Every CL room at AKL *IS* Savannah View! (The AAA TA is using old, out-dated information.) And once you've booked AKL-CL and you have been in contact with their wonderful IPO, they will confirm that you will indeed have a Savannah View!
