Hi, I have a quick question about the IPO duties.

We're staying conceirge for the first time in October for 4 nights at AKL, following a 14 night stay at AKL in a standard room. I've made all my ADRs for both portions of the trip, but was wondering if it was appropiate to ask if IPO could confirm all my ADRs?

Will they be happy to do this, or will they only confirm the ones for the nights I'm actually staying on club level?

Thanks very much.

Knowing the wonderful AKL IPO staff, they will happily confirm any and all ADRs for you and email you an "itinerary" showing all. For our upcoming trip, we're staying 2 nights AKL-CL, 4 nights DVC @ OKW and 2 nights @ Poly-CL. Don & crew confirmed all our ADRs. :thumbsup2

Excellent, thanks very much, I'll drop them a mail.

we did only one nite of concierge (so we could do SS) and 6 reg savannah view and they took care of all our ADR's, boat rental etc... they're fantastic!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we've made our ressies at WL cl (room only till package price comes out). I sent WL IPO a friendly email to introduce ourselves and say hello shortly after booking the room. They emailed us back w/ the itinerary forms to fill out w/i 3 hours :thumbsup2 We've got all of our adr's planned out and will be emailing back to WL tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice about contacting IPO myself even though w/ used our TA to book the trip. I feel so relieved now. There wasn't a specific name on the email they sent us, just a general WL IPO. I would love to find out who's helping us prepare for our stay, so we can properly thank him/her/them when we arrive :) What gifts/etc have some of you given to IPO or do you just give it to the cl staff at the resort?

I must be going crazy...do I need to fax the intinerary forms back or send them snail mail? I'm having trouble filling them out correctly in email?!
Thanks for all of the help/advice, it has been so helpful :yay:

Hey Guys! We have decided to go CL at BWI. Could any of you experienced CL -ers shed some light on tipping? If you have turndown service do you tip them? If so, how much? How about when a CM gets a beer for your DH for example, do you tip them? When they show you to your room do you tip them? haha.. I'm used to tipping bell services and mousekeeping but not sure of the rest! Help!

You have made a wonderful choice by staying CL at the BWI. This is our favorite place to stay CL. You will not be disappointed.:) The staff is the best and makes each family feel special. The staff at the BWI have become part of our family and vice versa.:lovestruc You might get different answers on tipping for turn down service. We have never done this but I am sure other posters have. We do tip mousekeeping daily as you might not have the same person cleaning your room each day. The CL staff cannot except tips in cash. Some families bring something from their home state as a token of appreciation. I have heard others have sent fruit baskets, popcorn, bake goods etc. I hope this helps.

We tipped turndown service $2-3 since all they did was turndown the blankets and leave chocolate. We tipped housekeeping around $5-6 a day. We tipped anyone who delivered us things to the room, some took it, some wouldn't. We didn't tip in the lounge. We stayed at 3 CL resorts and did the same for all 3.I felt like all we did was tip :) We changed resorts 4 times so there was bell services for every move. We could have bought something really nice with all those tips, but the cm's really did appreciate them so that made it worthwhile:)

There was a great South African Shiraz wine in the lounge at AKL last week. Does anyone know the name of it? I should have written it down.

I will be there very soon and can't wait to relax in the lounge with a glass of wine after a day in the parks :cloud9:

Was it the Indaba?

hi, does anyone know how check-in for consierge guests is handled at the BWI? a few years back, you just checked in with everyone else in the main lobby. anyone know if this has changed? thanks in advance

When we stayed there a few weeks ago, I began check in at the regular desk but they quickly ushered us to our room and finished check in there. The CM were very friendly and helpful. I would go back to BW club level in a heartbeat!

By the way, I didn't notify the valet workers that I was club level at the BW so maybe that is the proper procedure. We had already stayed club level at a few other disney hotels on the same vacation, and had struck out with the valet/greeters at those hotels. Therefore, since there was no line at the regular check in desk, I simply went there.

I am staying at the WL club level and this is what the IPO sent to me:

"Upon arrival at our resort, please proceed to the Bell Services Desk and infrom them that you are an Old Faithful Club Guest. They will proceed to take you through the Club Level Check-In process."

Im not sure if it would be the same at the BWI or not ??

francie-I just answered you on the Boardwalk thread. Let someone know when you arrive and they will take you up to Club Level to check in. Like I said before, the CMs at the Innkeepers Lounge are the best and they will take good care of you. Top notch-you will have a great stay!:thumbsup2 I can't wait to get back there;)
