When we stayed at Poly Concierge 2 weeks ago we were taken back to the Hawaii building in a golf cart. When we checked out they also took us and our luggage out to our car in a golf cart.
I knew WDW would not stop that service for Concierge guests at the Polynesian, so thank you for posting this. When we stayed at Poly Concierge 2 weeks ago we were taken back to the Hawaii building in a golf cart. When we checked out they also took us and our luggage out to our car in a golf cart.
But they said they would keep trying. This was important to me because it was my treat to DH for our Anni. Nuts. Hope they can get it. If not I think I am going to try to plan something in our room, maybe a catered dinner.

Well when we arrive at the Polynesian we will the bellman we are staying in the Hawaii building and that we need them to take us and our bags on the golf cart, because we plan to check-in from there and not in the lobby. Plus we need the bellman to open the door to the Hawaii building because we could not since we would not have our KTTW cards. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but when we went our luggage was not taken by a golf cart. We lugged it ourselves. I went to the front desk and told them we were checking in concierge and they simply pointed us in that direction. I believe we did request help with the luggage on the way out(and received it). We stayed twice there and have never had our luggage taken to our room. I don't know what you have to ask or who to ask to have it happen. Now with Magical Express it is not a problem. Although we did have someone escort us at the Contemporary with our carry on bags. Just thought I would warn you.
You can check-in right on the club floor, so all you do is the tell someone at the bell stand to call them saying you have arrived and a bellman will take you and your luggage up there.Since we've never been Club Level before, here's my question: do we check in at the lobby desk or at the club level (concierge) desk when we arrive?
I am guessing you told the bellman at the main entrance you were staying on the Atrium Club or Tower Club and they took you up to either floor with your carry on bags and you checked in up there? If so my family and I do the same thing when checking into the Atrium Club, however we have them take all our bags up.Although we did have someone escort us at the Contemporary with our carry on bags. Just thought I would warn you.

If we run into problems like a Cast Member telling us they can't do that or say go in that direction, we will complain and say this is something that should be done for us since we are paying a lot for Concierge. Plus we will say how are we suppost to get into the Hawaii building since you need a KTTW card.
Yes, that is exactly what I did. I think there was a sign saying club level (can't remember exactly what) and I went to the Bell desk at the Contemporary. It was clearly marked. I tell you, it was the best concierge check in I have ever had. I just wasn't so lucky at the others I stayed at. But, then again, I wasn't sure of where to go. It sure helps reading these boards. I guess the Bellmen in front of the resorts are the who you go to, at least that seems to be what I am reading.
I would just like to say that I am staying AKL Concierge and Don has been AMAZING. Previously, reservations had told me that no disabled rooms were available on the club level. While I emailed them about the issue and Don says they have quite a few disabled rooms with savannah views. He just made me feel completely at ease and made me feel as though everything was being taken care of. I got the just that they may have to downgrade me to Savannah view but I am sure they'll still let me do the sunrise safari.
When they re-named the 12th floor the Atrium Club we got a letter about that and in it said when you arrive to tell the bellman you were staying on that floor and they would do the rest. In the past we had no idea you can do that, because when we arrived we would always park the car and take our luggage ourselves and checked in from the lobby. So now when we arrive at the Contemporary we tell the bellman who greets us that we are staying on the Atrium Club and then they tell the person at the bell desk or we tell them ourselves.Yes, that is exactly what I did. Thank you for that information and that's how I thought it's done at the Polynesian. For concierge check in at the Polynesian:
1) Go to the Valet stand outside. They call to see if you have a ready room.
1a) If the room is ready, they direct you to the bell stand.
1b) If the room is not ready, they store your luggage and direct you to the bell stand.
2) The bellman takes you to Hawaii/Tonga to check in. If your room is ready they normally bring you and your luggage to the room first and you check in after.
