That's funny, because it's Crescent "Lake", not lagoon. That must be a very recent change. I've gone back to look at the literature that I have from last year and it says water view. Maybe guests were complaining and they decided to re-categorize some of the views.

Not sure on the recency, since this will be our first on-site trip. Disney Travel site seems to refer to "Water or Pool View" for standard rooms and "Lagoon View" for club level rooms. Both BC and YC follow this convention. It will be interesteing to see where our "lagoon view" puts us.

That makes it seem stranger, because the club level rooms are in the same exact area as the standard rooms, just on the 5th floor. I have no idea why they would consider the view lagoon from the 5th floor, but water/pool on all the other floors.... Disney is a bit kooky sometimes.

I have a junior suite booked and I specifically asked the CM if it would be a "lagoon view". She said no, all CL water views were of the pool.

The junior suites are 3201 and 4201 and those rooms definitely overlook Stormalong Bay. You can probably see some of the lake though, especially from the 4th floor room. Maybe that's what it is, the higher rooms clear any obstructions, so they can see the lake from the 5th floor.

Yeah they do but I wasnt sure if their physical offices were at the Poly.

A few years back, I had a call from GF IPO and caller ID said the Polynesian.:confused3 I've also had an email from a CM who thought we were staying WL when our stay was to be at the Polynesian.

I think they like to keep us guessing.:rotfl:

yeah I know the Poly and WL IPO is at the Poly
I was wondering if the GF/CR was there to I wanted to send something to Calvin before we get there in July as I thank you.

The Polynesian and WL share an IPO office, located at the Poly.

The CR and GF share an office, at the Grand

YC/BC/BWI all share an IPO office, located at Y&B

Edited to add that we just heard from an expert. :)

ConchKahuna, do you know why caller id showed the Polynesian when GF IPO was contacting me a few years back?

Well, the CM who was working for GF IPO was at the Polynesian the day I had that call. But others have heard that they're located at the GF.:confused3

They weren't at the Polynesian, but it probably showed up as Polynesian on the Caller ID because the GF and Poly are on the same phone system. The Contemporary and Fort Wilderness (and maybe the WL) are on the same phone system too, so if you get a call from FW, it will say Contemporary on the calller ID LOL

Ah, mystery solved. Thanks.

Got an email from the POLY requesting our itinerary. Whoo Hoo!
Getting closer and closer now. :dance3:

Does everyone go thru concierge to make your ADR's? Or do you just do it yourself, and go thru concierge if it is something "big" ?? Wondering what to do.. my 180 day mark is approaching soon and i want to take care of it asap, especially cuz i need to book 2 shows - HDDR and the Luau.
Thanks

I think the concierge is invaluable when it comes to special meals like CRT, or for last minute plans for changes...two situations where it paid me to have them recently!

It's great, just email the concierge staff with all of the ADR's and times you want, they make them and send you the confirmation!

I know this may be a repeated question, but here goes: About how far out from our arrival should we expect contact from the concierge staff re ADR's, etc.? I too, am concerned about making reservations, especially for Le Cellier and Coral Reef. I would ordinarily be on the phone at midnight at 180 days to get those ressies.

Believe it or not, my trip is a year away and I emailed the concierge staffs at the 3 resorts we're staying at. All 3 emailed me back with an itinerary planning sheet to fill out and send back. They all felt that it wasn't too soon to get this information.

Really I would think they would be busy enough with the people within their 180 day window. :confused3 Hmmm should I email concierge at BWI now or wait, we are still just under 10 months out.
