Useful Concierge Information

Alright what did you say in your email to them? Because of course being the OCD planner that I am I now feel like I NEED to email them NOW. :rolleyes: But I'm such a nerd I have know idea what I should say in the email!

Dear Concierge Staff at ----
I am writing to let you know about our upcoming trip to your beautiful resort. I know it is a year away but thought I would drop you a line to let you know how much we are looking forward to our stay with you. I am hoping it will be a fantastic trip as it is our 25th wedding anniversary. I look forward to speaking with you in the future.

hotel dates and confirmation number

I heard back w/i days from all 3 welcoming and telling me how great it will be and asking if there is anything they can do to make our stay even better. They told me to email them back with any special requests.
Then about a week later I heard from IPO ..I think that's what they're called..and they included an itinerary worksheet for me to fill out and send back. I even received a phone call from the nicest CM at the Contemporary to confirm the dates that I wanted for my ADR's.
We are staying at the WL / Cont / and AKL and all 3 were very quick in their replies and very nice. So I say go for it so you don't stress over it : ) I felt so much better after I did it. I was also shocked at how fast they got back to me. The AKL noted that I wanted the Savannah view since it was written as standard view now for the CL.
Post back after you do it!!!!
 
Good for you!!!! Don't you feel better?????!!!! Now just wait for an answer. Where are you staying?:yay:
 

We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn. I've only seen good reviews of their concierge staff so hopefully it will be wonderful!
 
Potentially stupid ? ------ ok, does each hotel still have their own IP office? We tried calling the other day, and it went to a general message - couldn't get a live person -- and it said to leave your name, ressie number, and what hotel you were staying in.. etc.. and they would get back to you.
 
Just got an e-mail from Cheryl from the "Disney Planning Team". She just noted that they can make dinner reservations for us as well as purchase items for the room or order something from the florist. Can't wait!!

Some have their own; others share. I believe Contemporary shares with GF but I could be wrong. I think email might be the best/fastest way to get in touch with them.

I got that same message in the past, but I left my info and they did call back about 3 days later.
 
Well, we heard back from Conceirge at the Poly - and we gave them our hopeful ADR's to book, as well as my dd's appt. at the BBB.

So, i did it.. for the first time, i relinquished control of the ADR's!! LOL

Let us know how you make out. I'm 204 days out and still trying to decide whether I trust someone else to get that Le Cellier reservation!!
 
Hello all. We are staying at AKL in September, and have made all of our ADRs. I dealt with Don, e-mailed all my ressies to him at about 190 days, and at 180 days he e-mailed me back all my confirmations! :cheer2: We have since changed like 400 things, and then changed some of the changes back, and he has been cheerful and extremely helpful. Now I know he may be sitting at his terminal thinking "Dear lord, this PITA again!" :lmao: but it certainly has not come through that way. I generally hear from him in less than 12 hours, usually within 3 or 4. After reading this, i would be scared to stay at GF, or even the Poly. Anyway, i think without a doubt that Don and the AKL concierge staff have gone above and beyond for me and my family. :love: :worship: We are planning on bring him a gift from home to thank him for all his help.
 
ITA!! WE LOVE DON! My boys love his Donald Duck impression. I love how helpful he is and the wonderful way he makes me feel like our family is the only one planning an upcoming stay. Don is hands down the best of the best at WDW!! {"):thumbsup2
 
I just posted on the restaurant board but had to tell Y'all.
Talked to Poly Concierge IPO last night and they are going to try to get all our ADRs and excursions. Yahoo!:banana: :banana: And she was as nice as could be. Laughed with me and wished me a happy Anni. Just so pleasant and professional. I'm impressed. :) :)
What a nice beginning!
 
I have to agree Don was the best last trip. Now my question. LOL.

Does anyone have the email for WL IPO mine keeps saying it cant be delivered. Thanks everyone.
