This is a seperate issue than the not returning emails. At this point I am just so disappointed in their IPO office. I just want to let someone know. Thanks, though!
That is what I am ending up doing. Not the best outcome...but by far the least stressful path. You know what I think I am going to do, I am just going to do my own planning. I am not one to complain and the whole thing is just stressing me out. The easiest and most stress free thing for me at this point is to just write off the IPO all together and just do all of my own planning, etc. I am just so disappointed in the whole thing!!
I booked a deluxe room at the WL in October 2006 for Dec. 2007. At that time it was not a concierge room. I just found out that the deluxe rooms may now be concierge. So in order to try to confirm this I called Disney reservations. The person I talked to did not seem to know, so he offered to give me the phone number for concierge services. After being on hold for an eternity ( he never came back), I finally hung up and called the WL directly. The person who answered the phone says to me " Well. we have lots of concierge rooms, some are standard, some are courtyard view, some are on the 7th floor" I interrupted her to ask if the deluxe rooms , specifically, are now all concierge. She couldn't answer my question but offered to give me the phone number for the concierge desk. So I called the number and after being on hold for about seven minutes the phone rings and I was disconnected! I just want to know if we definitely have a concierge room now and if we do, what should we expect? Does anyone know? Thanks for your help.
They are included in the club level category. If you go to page 1 of this thread, you'll find the direct contact information. It seems like they prefer e-mail and respond quicker to that.I just found out that the deluxe rooms may now be concierge.
Thanks, Kelly. I just called the number you pm'd me and couldn't believe it when a real person actually answered! She confirmed that we are definitely in a concierge room and will be recieving a packet in the mail from them. I reserved the deluxe room because we have a DD15 and a DS17 who are just not into sleeping in bunk beds anymore. And after this year we'll be looking at college tuition, so I wanted this to be a really special trip. As I was not expecting a Concierge room ( even though we are paying, in my mind, big bucks for this), this is a nice surprise. Thanks again.![]()
Kelly, I thought the GF and CR were sharing IPO resources.
Most of these rooms overlook the parking lot and the roof of the convention center.1) What is the standard view on the CL?
I'm fairly postive that the YC doesn't offer a "lagoon" view. I believe they refer to it as a "water" view instead. By Disney definition, water view rooms are classified by any room that has any type of water view. This can mean that you see a corner of the pool through the trees. So no, not all of the water view rooms overlook the boardwalk.2) Do all Lagoon views on the CL look out toward the boardwalk?
Each night, it was the same basic offerings of vegetables, cheese & crackers, but the 2 appetizer items did change. There was always some type of a soup and one other hot dish.3) Do the evening snacks change, or do they stay the same?

That's funny, because it's Crescent "Lake", not lagoon. That must be a very recent change. I've gone back to look at the literature that I have from last year and it says water view. Maybe guests were complaining and they decided to re-categorize some of the views. My confirmation specifically says "YachtClub-Lagoon-Club." The Disney Website also has it listed that way.
