Use Quick Service for Sit Down Dinners??

Just wondering if you cannot get any sit down times for the restaurants you want with the Free Dining Plan can you use "Quick Service" restaurants in place of the sit down ones? Does anyone know?

For the past few years Disney has announced that during free dining you may trade your table service credits for counter service plus either snacks or merchandise. No announcement for this year yet though.

Any idea as to how we will know if we will be able to make the exchange and if so, when are we given a choice? I hope I made this clear. Thank you

They usually announce it a few weeks before the general public free dining period begins. This year the beginning date is August 16.

It'll make this board when it's announced, and also probably some other unofficial Disney-related sites.
