I have a problem. DH hurt his leg and now the only way we can fly is with another adult. Airline requires two able bodied adults when travelling with twins. I could bring my sister. Question is: do we cancel our one bedroom at OKW and book a two bedroom at SSR or should we book her a mod room? SSR is 314 points versus 199 at OKW. I'd have to borrow 14 points for next year's trip. I can book POR for 1207 or POP for 718. Free dining pkg is 1783 at POR or 1174 at POP. What makes more sense? My feeling is that it is better to borrow points than pay OOP. Then sis can share our villa meals and we'd take advantage of TIW once a day. Paying OOP hurts. Maybe we should just cancel this year's trip and wait for dh to be fully able.

You know that OKW one bedrooms now have the additional sleep chair, so if you are comfortable with a little crowding and sharing a bathroom, you can all fit into an OKW one bedroom...Mom & Dad in master suite, twins on sleeper sofa in Living Room, sister on sleeper chair in living room.

I know. But I think that for everyone's comfort we'd need a little more privacy. That is probably the simplest solution, but I don't think it would make for a very fun trip. Sis wouldn't be able to come and go as she pleased as our kids go to bed very early, etc. If she's doing us this favour, I'd like her to be as comfortable as possible.

How about a 2 bedrom lockoff at OKW?

If there's an available 2 bedroom lock off unit at OKW, I'd take that so she can still be a small part of the family, but also can lock off her unit. Either that, or book her an OKW studio and request that it be near yours. It's not guaranteed, but you would all be at the same place.

Not available. Only thing available is a 2 bedroom at SSR (not our first choice). They don't have any other two bedrooms or even studios available anywhere. SSR is the only option using DVC.

When is your trip? I'd book the SSR and depending on when your trip is I'd waitlist for the OKW. Your sister might like some privacy but a whole different resort might be too isolating.
