Use Passes Within 14 Days?

You need to go with my dad then! He dragged his butt every day of our vaca. I had planned RD almost every day and we never, not once, made it. I eventually had to accept it or be pissed the entire trip. But I will say, it had a total domino effect on our trip and we were always running behind/rushing. So it really wasn't as relaxing as it sounds to get there late. At least not for us.
I'm glad you mention this domino effect. Originally I had planned on trying to get my in-laws up and out for RD for our trip next September...this vaca we just got back from (like a week ago) completely changed that.

It's evident that my mother-in-law hit her physical barrier despite her figuratively (sp?) kicking and screaming against it. She just doesn't have as much energy as she did in the past and it really hit home on this most recent trip. It quite honestly caused problems because my husband and I were used to the in-laws being able to mostly keep up with us and mother-in-law was not mentally prepared I think to admit that she no longer could thus getting them to our destinations like Arlington National Cemetary before 10:30am (much to my annoyance) became impossible.

So for our WDW trip I'm not going to put any demands on them waking up early on them (it's actually my mother-in-law that is the problem, step-father-in-law has no problem getting up between 5 and 6am).......but I'm not waiting for them either. I've learned from the DIS boards how valuable getting an early start can be and I don't want to feel like I'm having to constantly push them to get out into the parks early.

Hopefully you and your dad stayed on good terms though on your trip despite the bump of getting into the parks earlier.

I really wanted to just go ahead and not wait on him (or them). But we had a double stroller and my mom had an ECV, so we really needed my dad with us to help us get everything out of the car! Next trip, my DH will be there (he had to skip this past one) and I don't think my parents will be. But even if they do decided to come, we will most definitely just leave them and catch up with them later.

There definitely wasn't a big blow out or anything, but I was a little upset for awhile. Like I mentioned though, for my own sanity, I eventually accepted it and told myself, "next trip! next trip!" while biting my tongue....lol.

I can see why you just had to bite your tongue but I'm glad it all worked out in the end :) and that you'll get to go back with a different plan in mind especially as one does not always know how vacationing at a certain type of place will work out with other people until you do it

Earlier this year, our ticketing CM said that on-site guests can add on additional says up to 14 (I think it was called a guest recovery function)
But they still expire in 14 days
Good luck with that. We tried for 3 days to do this in June based on what somebody said on these boards. We tried at CBR, AK, Boarwalk. We tried at Guest relations and ticketing. Be prepared to look like you have grown an extra head and are some overprivileged mongrel trying to seep every dollar out of Disney....only speaking from experience! We had a 10 day wp&f with hoppers staying onsite and nobody knew what in the world we were talking about. We spoke to easily 6-10 people.

Sorry you had that experience. I had heard both versions of this myself. I suppose anyone in this boat should hope for the best and plan for the worst. I'd be so frustrated, though, to read the fairly good sized group of people here who reported success and then not be able to replicate it myself!
