We will be staying at the POR and realize there is no microwave in the room. My daughter has back issues and usually needs to have heat on at the end of the day. Could we use the microwave in the food court to heat the wrap up? Or can a request be made for a microwave in the room? Thanks

I’m not familiar with what a wrap up is but I highly doubt that it is a good idea to uae the same microwave that people heat their meals with something like this. Seems a bit unsanitary

If I understand what a wrap is correctly, you can use the microwave in the food court to heat it up. You can request to have a microwave in your room, but there are no guarantees and I’m not really sure if that’s even at option. I hope this helps!

From what I understand, it’s just a hot pack.

This. You can request a microwave for your room, but it's only a request. They can't guarantee it. I would request a microwave (for the convenience) and if one is not available, the food court is always an option.

I’m unaware that you can request a microwave at moderate resorts. I thought it was only an option at deluxe. But it doesn’t cost you anything to ask.
You can certainly use the microwave in the food court. Maybe wrap it in a hand towel to keep the wrap clean, it will also help retain the heat transporting it back to your room.

Good point. It might only be an option at the deluxe resorts. I have only requested one once, and it was at the CR.

Since Pop Century has a microwave in the food court, I would guess that they all have them.

You can definitely use the foodcourt microwave. We use them at every resort, and I'm always surprised at how clean and well maintained they are. :)

I'm not sure the wrap would be all that hot after heating it and having to trek the pack to your room. Maybe pack along a heating pad, just in case the wrap doesn't end up hot enough.

Just another thought if the idea of trekking to the food court for a microwave doesn't appeal to you...you could get the Thermacare (or other brand) heat wraps. They are kind of wasteful when compared to a re-heatable wrap, but for a vacation, the convenience would be worth it. The added benefit is that they also stick and work for 16 hours, so if she's finding the walking in the parks is hurting her, she could wear them during the day as well.

I have neck issues and survive by using a microwaveable heat wrap.
When I travel I also bring both of these (heating pad and Thermacare disposable heat) with me.

can you invest on a electric heating pad? Microwaves at the food court are usually clean, you won’t have a problem with them

POR is a large resort if you are far from food court not sure how warm the wrap will be by time you get it to room. wrap would need to be very hot to still be warm walking back to room if you are far from food court and also how will you carry something that hot
