Thinking of taking a credit instead of a refund of funds spent on our Alaskan cruise. Does anyone know if we would be able to use the credit to reserve two cabins instead of one and pay the difference at the PIF due date.

Thinking of us in one cabin and daughter and family in the other cabin. We would be switching to a much cheaper cruise and don't need a thousand dollars in onboard credit just sitting there for us to have to use up by ourselves.

In other words we would spend the funds as we see fit??

I am pretty sure the credit follows the individuals booked into the canceled stateroom.

You are allowed to use it for two different sailings, but it has to be for whomever was on the original sailing.

Were your daughter or her family booked on the cruise you are cancelling? If not, the credit cannot be used for their fares, only towards the fares of those who were booked on the cancelled cruise. You are welcome to book 2 staterooms and/or add more guests to your traveling party, but the credit won't extend to the others. The credit is listed by individual from the original canceled sailing, rather than a lump sum.

Enjoy your cruise!

We had the same thought - we wanted to add people to the new cruise, but the FCC can only be used for the original passengers on the cancelled cruise. Any amount left over after the new fare for the original passengers can only be used as an onboard credit for those original passengers. None of the FCC funds can go towards any expenses (fare or onboard) for a new passenger.

I hadn't heard that you could use the FCC on multiple cruises - that would be good news!

We were able to add two people to our ressie to help use up the credit from cancelled Hawaii 10 nights. We moved our credit to a 7 night Caribbean. This move had to involve guest services since the original cruise was an on board booking, along with the 125% credit for the cancellation.

We were told that we could NOT book two rooms on the same sailing and use the any of the credit for the second room.

but we are ... as the commercials say ... "in uncharted waters"

I beleive it would be use the fare of 1 person on 1 cruise and the other fare on another. I'd the ticket price is less it goes on your on board credit which have to use or lose it. Also if you book and then change you lose the additional credit. Onboard Credit can not be used for another deposit on a cruise either. I tried.

Just book you in 1 room and husband in the other. Once you check in have new keys reissued to match the rooms you will sleep in.

But that doesn't give you anything, but will be the first adult in the room, but the first two are the same price anyway, so you'll get the exact same price if you just book one room with the credit and a cash booking for the daughter in an other room
