Couldn't I do this in theory....Create 4 phantoms on my existing MDE... Then reassign the fancy MB to the four phantoms? Then just use the ones i get in the mail as my Regular MAgic Bands.

You can't reassign MBs on the MDE. They're married forever to their original profile. You could phone up Disney and tell them you make a mistake and ask them to reassign to the 4 phantoms. But you can't do it yourself. That's what you should do. Call Disney and tell them you want to reassign to your four nieces or nephews. (Whom you'll already have set up on your MDE. Make them all under age 18.)

If you access the MDE app on the Disney server itself -- how might that be a different experience than from off property? Ask one of your genius children, Hiro.

Haha, they don't care about FP research. They leave that to me while they explore genomics and champion the rights of all people.

I would think any access to FP booking and ticket reassignment has to be through the Disney server whether offsite or onsite. Last week was the MDE "magical enhancement" (system crash) week so maybe there was experimentation as to what could deter creative booking of FPs.

All would be good for all MBs in regards to Memory Maker because everyone is listed/linked on that one MDE account. All photos and ride videos will be linked to that specific MDE.

It is nice to be able to access all your FP+ (both prebooked and SDFP kiosk booked) on one MDE. Just use very different names if you do that. I do like separate MDEs myself because it helps me keep things organized and avoids possible mergers. (I use one handheld device on the app for the prebooked FP+ and another handheld device signed into the website for the SDFP+.)

This would be another reason to keep the phantoms on your main MDE -- everyone on that MDE will be linked to your Memory Maker. It would only be if you make a separate MDE that those bands wouldn't be linked to MM.

I found that was interesting in that no one reported a crash in the parks nor in FP booking. - maybe only a few blips in the early morning FP booking. The "enhancements" affected everything that was previously booked/linked in MDE. FPs, ADRs, tickets, etc. weren't showing up yet they did exist. And, now everything is back and correct. Wonder what type of specific enhancements were being tested.

Ok update guys. So I called and they did change my fancy MB to 4 phantoms on my same MDE. I'm using completely different names. So I think what I will do is order same color bands for my hotel reservation. Those will be the ones I will be using primarily. The character ones will be my phantoms and will set those up when I get to the park. Is there anything I'm missing or do I got everything right?

That's great! You're all set now. You did it perfectly. The fancy MBs will be for SDFP+. Since they're on your MDE, they can also access any Memory Maker pix. You'll use the colored bands from the resort reservation to access prebooked FP+ at 60 days. Only the colored bands will work for park entrance, to open the door of your room or can be used for charging privileges.

Speaking of bands and resort room doors -- that was a mess last week. Stayed at many resorts and the bands failed at every one - had to be reset at least once. They'd work one day, fail the next. You'd be trapped out of club access, etc. Extreme MB glitchiness. Hopefully that will be worked out. Bands worked fine for park entitlements - just not at resorts.

Do you think I'll be able to get some of the night events like fantastic, illuminations, parade etc?? And concerning the times, is it safe to say that the times will be the same as they are now or will times change in March?

On a side note I saw that plenty of people were upset over this loophole. But rather people were mad at you and any people that used this to their advantage. Isn't this what forums are for? To give people tips and tricks on how to maximize their vacation?

The window will open at 60 days for ticketed resort guests on your MDE. The phantoms can't prebook any FP+ since they have no tickets linked. Stop at the kiosks first thing in the morning and grap a set of FP+. Keep checking back on the website (not the app) to change the phantom SDFP+. Availability and times change constantly - every few seconds, as thousands of other guests alter their plans.

Do you mind if I ask where you observed the plenty of people mad at me and other loophole users? Just curious!

Oh no they're old. I'm sure they were already brought to your attention. Now I know I'm getting way ahead of myself but just a thought. If Disney doesn't change the current process when I book another vacation what would you advise? Just link it to my main profile and just continue to use the fancy ones for my phantoms or create a whole other MDE and I guess I could end up with 3 profiles per person right?
