US on January 1st or 2nd?

We are going to Orlando for the holidays and will go to Universal Studios one full day. Which day do you think will have most crowds - January 1st or 2nd? I am thinking that many people have partied on New Years Eve and will not go to a park or New Years day so this may be the best day. On the other hand - January 2nd is a Friday and many people who have been to Orlando for the holidays may start to leave on that day.

What do you all think would be the least crowded day?

Which is more crowded sardines packed in water or sardines packed in oil. I made that mistake once before. Most people will stay through Saturday or Sunday. That being said, I think your train of thought is good for the MORNING of January 1st. Many people stayed up stayed up till Midnight or later and decide to get a late start the next day. The morning of January 1st will probably be some of the lightest crowds of the week.
