US Navy Blue Angels Fly over today

For anybody in the Magic Kingdom today, the US Navy Flight Demo team the Blue Angles will be doing a flyover of Cinderellas Castle between 930 and 10 am, on the way to Melbourne for a show. They are using the Castle as a photo op.

Yep - cool - was just going to post this! My guess is that the same places for viewing MK fireworks would likely be good. Though I hope you aren't all on your phones right now cruising this board (IMHO), I hope you get to see, especially if you or your kids haven't seen the Blue Angels before. Awe-inspiring! 9:30am ET - go soon! (and they usually do things right on time!)

Do they announce this beforehand in the park? Might be a shocker if you didn't know about it first. Isn't there typically a no fly zone around MK?

As far as I know there are no announcements. There might be signage at the entrance to the park and on Main Street but that's about it. In the 7 years I worked at WDW I cant think of a time I heard a PA address in any of the parks. Not to say it doesn't happen. The only way I found out about it is that I liked the Angels and Thunderbirds on Facebook and it was in a status update yesterday or the day before. Im working today at the convention center a few miles away otherwise Id be sitting at the train station. The last time I know for sure that the Angels were here was in 96 for the 25th anniversary of the MK.

Yes the parks last time I heard were a no fly zone, but I have seen military planes and helos of all sorts flying around and over the parks. I saw a pair of planes that looked like F117s late last year crossing the MK from north to south then loop over EPCOT.

Im thinking the best place would be on Main Street near the Train Station if not on the upper deck of the station.

I was there today.. They made several announcements. It was spectacular! They went by twice! There were photographers on top of the buildings of Main Street. It was during the dance party parade (sorry.. Don't remember the name )

I wasn't there so I've only seen the photos/videos posted online. I sure wish I would have been able to be there.

I can't wait to see the professional photos that Disney and/or the Blue Angels put out of it. Should be awesome
