OK, we are DVC and I screwed up and booked our return flight a day after our DVC ressies are over. Not so bad, I think, our 1st chance to try staying at a US resort. My wife and I have been to US twice in the last couple of years, sans kids and we really think the kids will enjoy two days checking out the parks. The problem, we have 7, ages 15, 12, 11, 8, 7, 4, and 4 months. With DVC we go to Disney for a week every other year and the hotel cost is nothing. Any suggestions on what rooms/suites/resort to book that won't break the bank? We have looked at all three resorts and they all look nice, but no one stands out. My DM will be with us so that is total head count is 10. We will only be staying for one night. AAA or other discount suggestions? Thanks in advance,

Scott

Gosh. You will need at least two rooms. You could get away with two deluxe rooms at the Hard Rock and that wouldn't be too bad but They wouldn't be connecting.

The rooms all have queen beds and there is enough room for a cot.

There are AAA rooms available. What time of year are you going to be going?

I agree with Damo. Either a deluxe queen at HRH that will give you two queens and one queen pullout or you could do the deluxe queen at portofino.
The standard royal pacific rooms would be too tight for me. But you could do it with a rollaway or aerobed.

The connecting issue would be a problem at HRH but not at PBH. Depending on your dates you can most likely get a discounted rate.

OK we are going to be there for one night June the 8th. I have AAA if that would give us a decent discount. I think we will probably need at least three rooms, or two rooms one being a suite with multiple bedrooms, maybe a kids suite and an additional room. How pricey are the suites? Comparable to two rooms? Thanks for your help,

Scott

A two bedroom villa suite at the Portofino will sleep 10 but it will probably cost you a small fortune! We got it for $249 when we scored a sweet upgrade with our platinum status and a very generous manager.

Two deluxe rooms at the hard rock would work. Since each can sleep six but the room max is actually five because of fire codes. They each have two queen beds and a double (could be queen) pullout.

I think you need to call and ask what is available since that will be the largest factor other than cost.
