Just looking on Expedia for flights next March and US Airways popped up with flights to both Tampa and MCO for £1100 for two adults and two children. This seems very reasonable but I am wondering if it because they have filed for Chapter 11? How secure would a booking be?

I cant comment on whether a booking with US Air would be secure or not in the circumstances, buttbhe price while, competitive, isnt outstanding.

A quick check on Virgin's site comes up with about the same price, around £1090 for 2 adults and 2 kids under 12.

I've been a frequent Virgin flyer and would recommend them happily.

We have flown US Airways on all three of our prvious trips to Orlando. One of which was booked shortly before they last went into Chapter 11. We were slightly worried - but Expedia assured us we should not worry. They emerged OK. We would have booked to fly US Airways agin for our next trip - but the dates we wanted weren't available - so we are going BMI/United.

We love US Airways and are sorry we won't be travelling with them next year.
