US Airways question

Hey,
I booked my flight to Orlando in March through US Airways.

Earlier today, I was looking at the US Airways website and saw that we could select our seats in advance. For one of the legs of my flight there are no available seats to select online. Does this mean that the flight is overbooked and that because I did not select my seats early enough then I won't have a seat on the flight ? :scared:

No. A number of "preferred" seats (not sure how US Airways does it exactly, but some airlines include exit rows, bulkheads, aisle and window seats in the front of the cabin, etc.) only can be selected in advance by elite frequent flyers, so you won't see them available. They'll eventually get assigned and you should have seats by the time the flight comes. Check in as soon as you can and get to the airport 90-120 minutes before your flight.

What is the date & flight #? I have preferred status with US and I can check how many seats there actually are.

Even elite ff's may not be able to see them all. Usually the airline blocks a percentage of seats that are saved for airport control on the day of departure. There are a number of reasons for this such as, to help get families seats together, weight and balance issues (when planes weren't packed solid all the time) and others.

You can always go to the off airport check in location in Lake Buena Vista and they are allowed to assign there when you check in with them.
