Hi; we are going to WDW in December. We want to stay at the Wilderness Lodge, and so far the best rate for our dates is $219.00 for a Woods View room. Although we won't be visiting the water parks, we were planning to buy 7-day park hopper plus because we wanted to see the parks at a leisurely pace.

I looked up at Expedia, and they are offering a 7 night Winter Dream Package at the WL plus Ultimate Park Hopper passes; total cost is $2,100.51 (room rate is $134). They charge the total immediately to your CC upon booking online.

I am still hesitant to book because our hopes of Disney releasing AP rates in October and probably get a room at WL for a better rate. Also, I don't know if getting UP is worth it since we're not using the water parks.

I would appreciate your advice regarding,

1. Is the package worth it?
2. Anybody knows what Expedia's cancellation policy is?

Usually (and there are exceptions) packages are not the best way to go. UPH, IMHO, are a great money maker for Disney.
When your vacation is done, so is the pass.
You did say that you were planning on 7 day park hoppers, not sure if the AP rate will work for you unless you plan to purchase an AP.
As to Expedia's cancellation policy, the web site should have all that information and if it does not, I would not do business with them. Like you, I want to know all the facts first.

I don't think it really matters if you go to the water parks or not as far as the UPH is concerned. More important is -- do you plan to go to a park(s) EVERY DAY? Including your check in day? Because with the UPH you will be paying park admission for every day of your stay. If the answer is yes, then a package may work for you.

Try posting on the Disney Resorts board.
