Hi - I'm thinking of going down to DL next month (before the end of the 3-day park hopper for $149 deal). I currently have the WDW AP and am trying to decide if it's worth upgrading to the new Premier Pass. Before doing this I have a few questions and I was hoping to get a bit more information.

1. The upgrade costs the different between the current AP and the Premier Pass cost. At Disneyland, is the cost of the Premier pass $722.75?

2. Does the new Premier Pass include the discounts previously associated with the Premimum Disneyland AP (e.g., discounts at select food and merchandise locations)?

Thanks!

I think it's $700 flat if you buy it in California. No sales tax on theme park tickets here, though the governator has proposed it as a revenue generator. Someone should correct me if I'm wrong.

I think there is sales tax on passes but it is included in the price. The govenator has propossed an extra "entertainment" tax on top of the sales tax. Of course I could be wrong, it does happen on occassion.

If it works like everything else you pay the difference between what you paid for the pass you have now and the current price of the upgraded pass.

The Premier Pass is the same cost at both DLR and WDW.
There is no sales tax on $350.00 of the price because California does not charge sales tax on theme park admission.

However, the State of Florida does, so a tax of $22.75 is applied to $350.00 of the price. Total cost: $722.75.

Figmentjii, yes, you would pay $722.75 minus what you paid for your existing AP (provided it is still valid).

Yes, it "features the same benefits you get with the “premium” annual passes for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts" plus -

At Walt Disney World:
* Unlimited admission for a period of one year to all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, including park hopping privileges
* Unlimited admission to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Water Parks
* Unlimited admission to DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (valid only on event days; some events require an additional admission charge) and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course (greens fee only. Tee time reservations are required and subject to availability)
* Parking at all four Theme Parks
* Subscription to Mickey Monitor, a collectible Passholder-only publication

And at Disneyland Resort:
* Unlimited admission to both Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure Parks for a period of one year, including park hopping privileges
* Parking at any pay-on-entry parking lot
* Subscription to Backstage Pass.
* Complimentary subscription to Disney’s Family Fun Magazine (one per household)
(List provided by glendalais on another thread.)

Thanks! I had seen the list of benefits, but wasn't sure about the ones that were associated with the Premium AP's but not explicitly stated in the list of benefits of the Premier AP (mostly the discounts at select food and merchandise location).

Has anyone tried to upgrade their WDW AP's at DL yet? I'm curious to know if it's an easy process or difficult.

Is it just me or does it seem like there are lots more advantages/amenities for the PP at WDW? The only thing different that the DL version offers is the backstage magazine and the family magazine. Big deal. :confused3 Everything else is already included in a regular DL Premium AP.

All the Disney Premier Passport offerings at Walt Disney World Resort are the same as those offered to Walt Disney World Resort Premium Annual Passholders.

There are just more amenities at Walt Disney World Resort, so hence why more offerings.

Ahh, I see, so it's all the same then. Thanks for that info!
